Loyal To My Soil Coaches Clinic
Saturday, February 21
Head-Royce School | Oakland, CA
OUSD Middle School Baseball & Softball Coaches
Loyal To My Soil will host a 90-minute coaches clinic (10:00-11:30) designed specifically for OUSD middle school baseball and softball coaches (but now open to the local Little League coaches) on Saturday, February 21st at Head-Royce School.
This clinic is built to support, educate, and empower local coaches by providing practical tools they can immediately apply with their teams. The session will focus on practice design, effective drill selection, and on-field demonstrationscovering all fundamental aspects of the game, including throwing, hitting, defense, and athletic movement.
Our goal is to equip coaches with clear structure, simple teaching cues, and adaptable drills that elevate both player development and the overall team environment. Coaches will leave with new ideas, improved confidence, and a better understanding of how to serve their athletes at every skill level.
Following the 90-minute clinic, we will break for lunch and open Q&A, allowing coaches to ask specific questions and dive deeper into challenges they face during the season.
In the afternoon, coaches will transition directly into a Loyal To My Soil youth camp at the same location from 1:00–4:00 PM. All clinic participants will join us on the field as station coaches, working directly with players in a live camp environment.
This structure allows Loyal To My Soil to:
- Teach new drills and coaching methods
- Watch coaches apply them in real time
- Provide immediate feedback, support, and adjustments as coaches lead each station
Rather than learning concepts in isolation, coaches will practice coaching while being coached, creating a powerful hands-on learning experience that bridges education and application.
This clinic reflects Loyal To My Soil’s commitment to strengthening the greatest resource in any community — coaches who show up, care, and lead the next generation of players.
